Terms of Use

Pre-launch terms covering the Maniacs Engine++ website and waitlist.

Last updated: May 5, 2026

These are pre-launch terms. Maniacs Engine++ is not yet incorporated as a legal entity, and the engine itself has not been released. When we incorporate and ship the product, these Terms will be replaced by full terms issued by the legal entity.

These Terms govern your use of the Maniacs Engine++ marketing website at maniacsengine.com (the "Site") and the early-access waitlist. By using the Site or signing up for the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About us

Maniacs Engine++ is a pre-launch project building an AI-native game engine. We do not yet have a registered legal entity; the project is operated by its founding team. For any questions about these Terms, write to legal@maniacsengine.com.

Once we incorporate, these Terms will be replaced by terms issued by the legal entity, and we will communicate the change in advance to waitlist members.

2. What we offer at this stage

The only services available right now are:

  • Browsing the marketing Site
  • Submitting the early-access waitlist application
  • Receiving correspondence from us — a welcome email and infrequent updates

The Maniacs Engine++ engine itself is in active development. Submitting the waitlist does not guarantee access to alpha, beta, or any future release. We make no commitments about feature availability, release dates, performance, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site or join the waitlist. By submitting an application, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Site
  • Attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure
  • Use the Site to transmit harmful code, viruses, or anything illegal
  • Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Site

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, design, graphics, logos, code, and the Maniacs Engine++ name and branding — is owned by the Maniacs Engine++ team and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or use this content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

You retain ownership of anything you submit through the waitlist (such as your project name and the description of what is blocking you). By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to read, store, and use it solely to evaluate your application and to contact you.

6. Pre-release status and no warranty

The Site and the waitlist are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • The Maniacs Engine++ engine will be released, will function as currently described, or will be available to you
  • Information on the Site is complete, accurate, or up to date

We may modify, pause, or discontinue any part of the Site or the waitlist at any time, without notice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Maniacs Engine++ team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Site or the waitlist, including loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, for fraud or gross negligence).

8. Termination

We may suspend or remove your waitlist application at any time, without notice, if we believe these Terms have been breached. You may stop using the Site or request deletion of your waitlist data at any time by emailing legal@maniacsengine.com.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site and the waitlist is also subject to our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle your personal data.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting waitlist members will be communicated by email.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — country to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will first be addressed informally by email; if not resolved, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [COURT JURISDICTION — city, country to be confirmed], unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
